Empowering Cyprus’s Cyber Champions: Discovering and Mentoring the Next Generation

The 8th Cyprus Cyber Security Challenge (CTF) returns 27 June - 13 July 2025 as a fully online, gamified competition designed to identify and nurture the island’s most promising cyber talent.

Organized by the Cyprus Computer Society and the Cyber Mouflons community, and co-organized this year with the Greek National Cyber Security Team, CCSC is Cyprus’s premier cybersecurity competition. The event is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, the Cyprus Police, and the Commissioner of Communications through the Digital Security Authority.

This competition brings together secondary-school and university students (ages 14–25), self-taught enthusiasts, and seasoned professionals in a friendly but rigorous Capture-the-Flag format.

Why CCSC Matters?

Over two weeks, participants log in from anywhere with internet access to tackle challenges in:

  • Cryptography
  • Reverse Engineering
  • Web Exploitation
  • Forensics
  • Steganography
  • Pwn challenges

Participants compete in a Capture-the-Flag (CTF) format, solving real-world scenarios that mimic modern attack techniques. No prior experience is required, making this a perfect entry point for curious minds and aspiring hackers!

QSecure’s Eight-Year Commitment

QSecure is proud to have supported CCSC since its inception in 2018. As a long-time sponsor, we believe that hands-on experience is the fastest path to cybersecurity mastery.

Over the past seven editions, we have :

  • Shared our knowledge in dedicated webinars

  • Co-developed challenge scenarios alongside the organising committees

  • Mentored top performers, some of whom have gone on to join the QSecure team!

From CCSC to the European Stage

The ultimate prize for top performers is national selection: the ten highest-scoring individuals will form Team Cyprus at the European Cyber Security Challenge in Wrocław, Poland (6–10 October 2025). That competition, run by ENISA, gathers the continent’s best young talent for an even deeper dive into cross-border cyber exercises.

Who Should Register?

  • Aspiring Students (14–25) seeking a head start in cybersecurity careers.

  • Self-Taught Enthusiasts eager to benchmark skills against their peers.

  • Security Professionals looking for a fun challenge!

Participation is completely free. No prior CTF experience is required. All you need is curiosity, persistence, and a willingness to learn.
